Day Four: Kev-Kev and Rainboots

So today we were supposed to be hit by the outskirts of a hurricane. So I decided to wear my rain boots.

Pretty hot, huh? My theatre class made fun of me, because it wasn't raining until we left class. So I pretty much looked like an idiot until one, when it finally started raining. I met a new friend in theatre! His name is Josh. (Like I need another Josh in my life haha!) I also met a boy name Kevin! I call him Kev-Kev. I don't think he likes it too much. Melody, Kev-Kev and I all went to Target today to pick up a few more things for the room. We're going to be getting a bench soon since we all managed to scrape together a little extra money!

I worked out again today. However, I was really only rock climbing. Lemme say, that is a serious work out. I reached the top twice though! I got to ring the bell. I like the bell. The bell sounds nice. Plus there's nothing like slowly coming down from the top and looking at everyone looking at you. Mmm. Sweet success. Plus, my instructor is a fun guy to chat with, so it's always a good time. Melody and I have sort of bonded over our love of rock-climbing. I have the feeling we'll be doing it a lot this weekend, if we aren't crying because we're so sore.

Then we had our roommate dinner of the week! This week was Chili's! Good food, bad service unfortunately. However, we did decorate some peppers!

I particularly like the mustache one. Even though I did the tye-dye one...it's pretty cute too I guess.

After dinner we had our "roommate agreement" meeting. Something that apparently averages at about three minutes, it took us thirty. No big deal. My roommates and I just like to talk. A lot.

That's pretty much everything exciting. Woo.

Something I learned today: Roommates make the best cuddle buddies! If you're ever feeling down, snuggle up to a roommate, they'll help you out.

Quotes from Home

"I feel like I have been hit by a hammer. That is strapped on to the front of a bus. That is speeding out of control while Sandra Bullock tries to keep it from dropping below a certain speed because it is gonna blow up. Scratch that... I feel like I have been blown up by a bus that dropped below a certain speed killing Sandra Bullock (who died when the hammer was thrown off during the explosion and caused a massive head injury to the beloved actress). Now America hates me because I stepped in front of a bus and killed Sandra Bullock. This is my life." - My Mama

Day Three: Ooooo. She wanna start something.

So nothing really happened today. This week has been rather uneventful.

Until I got to skype with my boo. I finally got to see my beautiful Kennedy! I miss her so much. She is my life as far as my home town is concerned. (Minus my mama of course!)

Then... this girl wanna start somethin wit me. THAT'S RIGHT I WENT GHETTO.
So I had to make the sign for my husbands because this girl, we call her pink shirt, decided to tear down their room names. Unacceptable. Then, she had the audacity to tear down Alyssa's and my sign and make them another sign. SKKKRRRTTTT. Excuse me? No. Dismiss yourself.

So I chilled in my husbands' room until after curfew last night watching tv and planning for this weekend. They have this crazy "I-Can't-Believe-It's-Not-Memory-Foam" stuff on their beds. Heaven on a mattress. Well..that sounds a little dirty. My bad. I almost fell asleep while they were up talking. That would've been bad.

That's pretty much my day.

Something I learned today: My ex is going to do everything in his power to make going to this college awkward, for anyone who even knows me. Also, my ex needs to learn about maturity.

Day Two: My Day Off

There's nothing like waking up, getting dressed, and walking all the way across campus to realize...your only class of the day is cancelled. Great.

On the plus side that means that I get the day off today. I managed to finish reading my chapters for my Human Sexuality class tomorrow. I got to freak out my roommates by talking about all the..interesting facts I learned about "sexual experiences" discussed in the book.

Dinner was interesting today... My friends decided to try to embarrass me and make everyone around us feel awkward by making fun of my lack of breast-age (hooray sports bra). It was good fun had by all!

I then hit the gym for three hours. (I kinda lost track of time). I took a rock climbing class and proceeded to look super hot in my "climbing diaper." My roommate and I were getting all the boys. And by " getting all the boys", I mean "getting dirty looks from all the boys".

I am now incredibly sore and ready for bed. My nine am class is cancelled for this semester and has been replaced by an even earlier eight am class. My excitement is overwhelming. Sarcasm, of course. Tomorrow I have another session of "Meet the Sororities" for greek life. Rushing should be exciting this next month!

That is all for now.

Something I learned today: Don't try and break in new shoes by walking around campus. You will hate yourself later.

Day One: Rather Uneventful

Well I'm finally here. Out on my own. I thought that things would be scarier, honestly. However they really aren't. My roommates and I fell in love the second we all saw each other. They have become some of my closest friends and I am so excited to be spending the year with them.

I had my first four classes today. Geology, which was cancelled, Freshman Orientation on Traditions, Human Sexuality, and Introduction to Math for Elementary teachers. They were all pretty simple, since it is our first day here.

I met a lot of new people just on the first few days. I technically moved in on Friday but classes didn't start until Monday. I've had some time to settle down and meet new people, and bond with my roommates.

I spent some time with my "husbands" today. They set up their Nintendo 64 and proceeded to play Pokemon while I napped on their bunk beds. Oh yeah...that's another thing. Loft beds are a good time. Climbing up and down in the middle of the night...truly wonderful.

That's all that really happened today.
Exciting. I know.

Something I learned today: Buying rain boots was a really good idea. Also looking good on the first day of school is useless if it's going to rain. Texas weather changes immediately.
