Day Ten: And So It Begins...

Today I woke up at 6:45...and decided the extra 45 minutes of sleep was totally worth it and proceeded to sleep in. I woke up, brushed my teeth, through on a sports bra, jacket and yoga pants and walked out the door. I literally looked like I rolled out of bed, and I did not care.

I also realized how much my schedule sucks today. I have an hour between all of my classes. One hour class, one hour break, one hour class, one hour break...all...day.

My human sexuality class was really fun today! We talked about the sexual anatomy of the male and female bodies! I also realized that there are some really immature people in my class.

I also figured out that math is going to be really easy, and that I already look like the nerdy girl in the class because I answer everything. Awesome.

I got to see some of my fraternity boys today. I miss them so much. It's only been two days, but they're so sweet. I freaked out when I saw them today, for no apparent reason. They probably think I'm crazy but I'm ok with it. They seemed to be excited to see me too.

Rush has officially started! We have met our recruitment officers and they are leading us through the process. I will go on my first "party tour" of the chapters on Friday! It should be interesting!

Something I learned today: Nature is very cruel, and will synchronize all roommate cycles. Prepare for the apocalypse and a lot of PMS.

Things I Learned In Class.

My teacher showed this video at the beginning of class today. Obviously relevant.

Day Nine: The Downfall

I miss my cat. He was my companion. I don't know why, but I feel really alone today. I woke up and just really needed someone to cuddle with. Rookie was perfect for that. He could always tell when I needed someone to hold onto.

I went to go rock climb today. I got to see the ever-so-sweet rock climbing instructor. It's always fun climbing when he's there because he makes Mel and I laugh. Melody then thought it would be a brilliant idea to try and get his number for me. I'm working on my legs and he comes up to my machine just to inform me that he has a girlfriend but that he would love to get my number BECAUSE HE LOVES NEW FRIENDS. "HI FRIEND, I like to make new FRIENDS. Here's my number FRIEND. See you later FRIEND."
...oh. ok. lemme just bury my face in shame forever. And on top of that, this all happened in front of a guy that I'm super attracted too. But it's ok, because he has a girlfriend too.
Summary of the story is, there is no hope for me. The night ended at the bottom of a bag of chocolate surrounded by dirty tissues and friends reminding me that being independent is a strong characteristic. Doesn't make it any less annoying though.

Something I learned today: The inspirational messages on the inside of Dove chocolates can be really annoying if you're in a bad mood. Also, if you're going to a school that is almost 3/4 women, chances of you finding a single man are almost zero.

Day Five, Six, Seven, and Eight: Oops...the Internet was down.

There's nothing like the internet being down all weekend.............
Guess I'll actually have to interact with everyone. Darn.

My weekend started off with our first football game! Freshman got to participate in a new tradition at school. We got to run across the field to "lead our players to victory"! It was pretty legit. I rode on my suite-mate's back. She was a trusty steed.

After the football game my friend Alyssa and I finished creating our sign for the sign war. Keep in mind, we spent a little too much money on this sign. It lights up. This is why people shouldn't start war with us. We will win.

After we finished the sign we got ready for a greek party. TOGA TIME! Found out, that apparently we can't read. We got fitted sheets instead of regular sheets. So I ended up using my actual bed sheet. Thank you youtube for an amazing tutorial, because I wouldn't have had any idea what to do otherwise.

This is my first picture with Alyssa! I'm so glad I met this girl She's crazy like me, and a ton of fun to hang out with. Hopefully we'll get in the same sorority (fingers crossed)! We went to the party and I met a lot of amazing people! Met a really sweet boy named Hunter! He watched over Alyssa and I to make sure no one was going to try anything with us. It's always nice having an older guy watching out for us! Hunter was my water pong partner for the night. I really respected the guys for having water pong, that way the over 21 members could bring their drink to the table if they wanted to, but the younger members could just enjoy playing the game. I discovered how many cops are really out at night after the party. At least they're keeping the streets safe from those who don't know how to party responsibly. All of my friends got home safe! Even the one that ventured from our group...even though he wasn't the brightest and ended up waking up in a lawn by the sprinklers. Guess he should've stayed with the smart thinkers. Sucks to suck.

The next day I did some errand running and then we had a "White Trash" party that night! I don't have any good pictures of our costumes, but lets just say it involved a lot of denim and some really trashy temporary tattoos from Walmart! That night my friend's drink got spiked. Luckily, she could taste it before she had any more to drink. Nothing like dumping drinks down the toilet! Unfortunately, since it was an open party, the hosts tried finding out who did it, but couldn't because it wasn't anyone from greek life. Luckily we had people closely watch our drinks for the rest of the night. I decided I could just deal with the thirst and go drink-less so I didn't even have to worry about it.

We woke up the next morning and decided I really needed to bake... unfortunately I am down to my last seven dollars. BECAUSE THEY DECIDED TO CLOSE ALL THE CAFETERIAS ON THE THREE DAY WEEKEND WHO DOES THATTTT.
..I'm not angry or anything.
Anywhoo...My friends and I all gather together for a nice day of baking, and gathering together each others' spare change in order to afford all the supplies.

"Slutty Brownies" as we called them, because those cookies were getting a little fresh with the brownies. ;) I also made my famous "Blake-Killer" cookies. They were delicious! I finally got some stress relief from baking. I really needed it.

That's pretty much all I did this weekend.

Something I learned this weekend: Always watch your drinks. Weekends are for sweats. Never hold a curling iron close to your stomach or you will have a really awkward burn. Loft bed are fun to climb down when you're sore.
